What's up Doc?

On April 30, 1938, a cartoon character known as "Happy Rabbit" made his debut in a short Warner Bros. cartoon titled "Porky's Hare Hunt." It was the first appearance of a character that became the legendary Bugs Bunny.

The more familiar Bugs Bunny didn't make his official debut until July 27, 1940, when he appeared in "A Wild Hare." Ultimately, Bugs appeared in 167 short films from the 1940s through 1964, during his "Golden Age."
