Sorry, marshmallows and lava just don't mix.

The U.S. Geological Survey took a break from giving serious updates about Hawaii’s Kilauea volcanic eruption to answer this burning question posted to Twitter....@USGSVolcanoes Is it safe to roast marshmallows over volcanic vents?  Assuming you had a long enough stick, that is?  Or would the resulting marshmallows be poisonous?  @JimGriffith_SV @DrFunkySpoon

The answer, as you would imagine is YES they would be toxic and  NO a long stick doesn't make it safe.. Remember that marshmallows are just sugar and as the video above shows, mixing sugar with sulfuric acids is sort of cool but ultimately, not something you want to be anywhere near.
