Meghan Trainor, Years & Years To Headline LA Pride 2019

2018 iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards - Show

Meghan Trainor and Years & Years have signed on as headliners for L.A. Pride 2019.

On Thursday (March 14), the organization announced the "Me Too" pop star and electropop group a part of its roster of performers for its annual celebration. Both acts will lead the LGBTQ+ parade on Saturday (June 8) and Sunday (June 9) in Los Angeles, California.

Additional recording artists set to play L.A. Pride include Detroit-born rapper Dej Loaf, R&B singer-songwriter Ashanti, Latin singers Amara La Negra and Pabllo Vittar, as well as rising pop stars Greyson Chance, MNEK, and Ah-Mer-Ah-Su.

“LA Pride stands humbly on the shoulders of those that have come before us who worked tirelessly for nearly 50 years to create a movement. Our new generation of leadership looks to honor that past and build on the many hard-fought LGBTQ+ civil rights victories," said CSW board of directors president Estevan Montemayor in a statement. "Our multi-generational community is, indeed, stronger together, and this year’s LA Pride celebration draws upon our diverse experiences to ensure that our collective voice is more powerful than ever."

Also, for the first time in L.A. Pride history, the festival and parade is expanding onto Santa Monica Boulevard with a free block party that will allow guests to spectate local performers on Saturday and Sunday for a limited time.
