Naya Rivera's Ex Shares Update On Son Half A Year After Her Untimely Death

Ryan Dorsey is doing his best to raise his and the late Naya Rivera's son, Josey, since the Glee star's untimely drowning in July 2020.

On Thursday (January 21), Dorsey took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of the five-year-old showing off his new Panthers football merchandise. "This little boy...man...I couldn't be any prouder of someone," he captioned the photo, admitting how "at such a young age, he's endured more than anyone should at 5 years old."

"Without even fully realizing it, he lives the #keeppounding mantra every day with his [resilience]," Dorsey continued, before dedicating a portion of the post directly to Josey. "You're so strong, so brave, and so kind. I will always be proud of you and we will always #keeppounding b/c that's all we can do."

Rivera's death took place on July 8, 2020 amid a year that impacted the world in many different ways. Dorsey, however, offered his own reflection on the year, confessing that he and his son "will never forget." "We think about it every day and I feel for you and vibrate alongside you on that frequency...I hope you can find some way to go on with your days, to persevere — no matter how hard it is," he concluded the emotional post.

As we reported, Rivera’s tragic drowning in Lake Piru prompted Dorsey to live with his son full-time. Rivera’s sister, Nickayla, also decided to help out and move in with the pair.
