Megan Fox is detailing which of her iconic characters she related to the most amid the early years of her fame.
During a recent screening of Jennifer's Body at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, Fox explained why she "really resonated" with the script and the transformation her character undergoes in the film, per People. The New Girl actress, 39, starred as the title character in the 2009 cult classic horror comedy opposite Amanda Seyfried.
Comparing the way her character became a monster to the amount of fame and attention she received at the time, she said "there's something about that, whether it's perceived or not."
"I felt like I was persecuted at that time in my career, and I was struggling a lot with fame and kind of traumatized by fame," she said, adding, "I resonated with those deeper layers of before she becomes a monster, she's a teenage girl that gets sacrificed for somebody else's gain. And that very much resonated because that's kind of how I came into this industry."
Elsewhere at the event, Fox joked that she may repeat herself because she has "a lot of brain fog" since becoming a new mom again earlier this year. She welcomed her first child with former fiancé mgk in March, a daughter named Saga Blade Fox-Baker. She also shares three kids with ex-husband Brian Austin Green: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey 9.
