A video shared online shows a Mercedes-Benz luxury sedan flying over other vehicles during terrifying crash in Romania.
The incident took place last Wednesday (December 3) night in the city of Oradea, according to the Sun. The Mercedes-Benz was seen jumping a curb and nearly colliding with a bus as it flew through the air over other vehicles.
The driver, who was identified as a 49-year-old man, survived the crash, but was reported to have suffered a few broken bones. Police said the driver fainted while suffering a diabetic episode, which caused the Mercedes-Benz to barrel out of control and go airborne.
The Mercedes-Benz was reported to have entered a roundabout the wrong way and hit the central island at a high speed, which led to its airborne ascension. A render by Stirile ProTV showed the vehicle's wheels sparking while it collided with a curb before soaring into the air for several seconds before crashing into a utility pole at a nearby gas station.
The driver was reported to be trapped inside the vehicle before being released by rescue workers and rushed to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The man was fined an equivalent of $365 USD and faces a potential 90-day license suspension in relation to the incident.
