David Archuleta has officially entered a powerful new chapter in his artistry with the release of his latest project, DEVOUT. The three-song EP marks one of his most intimate bodies of work to date, offering fans a stripped-back, emotional extension of his recently released memoir of the same name.

Best known for his breakout run on American Idol, Archuleta has spent years evolving both personally and musically. With DEVOUT, he brings those two journeys together — creating a project that directly reflects the themes explored in his book, including faith, identity, and self-acceptance.

The EP features three new tracks written specifically to accompany the memoir, serving as a sonic reflection of the experiences Archuleta details on the page. The songs are described as raw and intimate, placing his voice front and center while embracing a more vulnerable, stripped-down sound.

In a statement, Archuleta shared of his new project, "A lot of people who saw teenage David on TV thought they knew me. In DEVOUT, I share that there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than many realized — with me, with my family, and with the show. I had to recondition almost everything I learned or was taught to believe, and that process can be challenging. This is a story about finding courage within yourself during your absolute darkest moment to persevere and become who you truly are.”

The release of DEVOUT follows Archuleta’s memoir, which dives deeply into his life story — from his rapid rise to fame as a teenager to his struggles with faith, identity, and personal freedom. The book details his experience growing up in a strict religious environment, his time in the spotlight, and his eventual journey toward living authentically.

Together, the memoir and EP form a cohesive artistic statement, offering fans a multi-dimensional look at Archuleta’s evolution. While the book provides the narrative, the music delivers the emotion—creating a more immersive and personal connection to his story.
