What's Up With The Last One?

Did you ever notice that? Doesn't matter if it's a box of cookies, crackers or in this case-cupcakes, the last one always seems to just hang around.  Is it a courtesy thing, like I ate six but there's only one left so I'll save that for somebody else-cause I'm so polite, or is that last one cursed?  Or is something even more sinister???  We may never know. This lonely cupcake is still there but I'll be a monkey's uncle if somebody didn't beat me to the last Girl Scout Cookie . . . bummer!
