Or is it Lasagna? Either way, it's delicious-and you'll certainly want seconds. And it's super-easy to make! I only get to have it when the wife is out of town, so that makes it even more special. I switched to the no boil noodles so you just bake them in your dish! Here's the skinny:
1 9-10 oz box of bake lasagne noodles
Hamburger-at least 1 1/2 pounds
A couple of jugs of cottage cheese
Big bag of shredded mozzarella
1 can tomato sauce
Italian herbs and seasonings (one will work but both are better!)
Brown your hamburger.
Preheat oven to 375
Spread your bake noodles on bottom of your baking dish and lay down some tomato sauce. Then sprinkle with your Italian seasonings and herbs. I like to put my cottage cheese on now before burger but you can do hamburger first if you want. then generously spread mozzarella. Repeat process until your baking dish is full. On the top, spread on some more tomato sauce and seasonings, then cover with tin foil and bake for about 20 minutes
Uncover and add mozzarella cheese to top. Cook another 5-10 minutes until cheese is nicely melted and noodles are soft. Let cool for a few and then serve.
Warning-do not expect it to last long. I think I'll polish mine off tonight . . .
