And The 95th Annual Tanana Valley State Fair Is Off And Running!

And yes, it was raining! And it was a lot of fun too-first opportunity I have had in my time to go to an "official opening ceremony". We had perhaps 3 of the finest politicians on hand to help with the festivities: Grier Hopkins, Adam Wool and Bart LeBon. Seriously-these are some cool cats who are doing a great job for Fairbanks and our state, so big props to them for that and for taking some time to be at the fair today. Oh, and we had the great staff at the fair, some board members, and a bunch of wacky pirates to complete our fair posse-and everybody played nicely together! And we had cake!!! it was an afternoon to remember for sure . . . don't miss the Tanana Valley State Fair and said pirates now through August 11th. Rain or shine, the show will go on!
