That's A Fine Pickle I've Gotten Myself In

It's time for the Great Pickle Challenge . . . and thus I am challenging myself to make a pretty good pickle. so instead of hitting the internet and looking for a pickle recipe there I might like, I stuck with the best and grabbed my empty Claussen pickle jar! I've long said that Claussen offers the finest pickle you can buy-and I do believe that to be true-but have speculated that there are some mean homemade pickles out there. Anyhow, I thought if I already knew who the best was, why not use that juicy goodness to make my own?! So I scored some of those baby cucumbers (also called "cocktail cucumbers") at Costco and I dropped them in the jar and put the lid on . . . pretty technical stuff I'm dealing with. Not sure how long it takes-I'll probably do my first sampling in a few days . . . if I can wait that long! And yes we'll keep you posted along the way! I think it's cheaper just to buy more jars of Claussen at Fred Meyer, but it's also fun to experiment. Okay, now I'll have to buy some more as I'm craving them pretty hardcore right now. Thank you Claussen for the outstanding product. My pickles will only be chilling as well!
