To keep them safe-don't get all excited! June 24th, 1991 was the day. It was a nice Monday afternoon-and one eager young (and very handsome, charismatic and modest) radio jock was enjoying his first day live on the #1 station at the time, just pulled up to the majors from college radio like the hot baseball player in the minors finally getting their day on the mound...or at the plate...or in the dugout-you get the idea. It could have been his birthday. Work with me here. His girlfriend "CJ the DJ (who soon went on to be a big time TV star) walked in the studios with his bday gift-these sweet, top-of-the-line Sony headphones. I took that picture this morning. These headphones are as perfect sounding as the day that jock got them-and I can't believe he was just letting his special guests use them. Sure, it made for a good story, but the studio headphones were wonking out, so these beauties were put back in action full-time, baby! And radio never sounded so sweet...because that radio dude still has that smooth, sultry voice that is highlighted even more by these state-of the-art ear covers. The story is true. Some details were omitted to protect the identity of that humble radio guy, who went on to be a 4 time winner of the "Sexiest man in Radio" as well as "Sexiest Man in Radio in A Pandemic". You thought Howard Stern's movie was good? Wait until this one is released: "Private Headphones", the mostly true story about the talking head underneath said headphones.
