Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered for bars in several counties to close due to the surge in coronavirus cases. He tweeted the order, which affects Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, San Joaquin, and Tulare counties. He's also recommending bars to close in Contra Costa, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Stanislaus and Ventura counties. This comes after Newsom advised leaders in Imperial County to reinstate a stay-at-home orders. As most of California moved into Phase 3 of reopening, the state started seeing coronavirus cases and hospitalizations increase rapidly. The Department of Public Health currently has a watch list of counties that are being monitored for worsening coronavirus trends.
