The FDA Has Issued Another E. Coli Warning For Romaine Lettuce!

The Food and Drug Administration just issued another E. Coli warning for romaine lettuce. The FDA tweeted that bags of Tanimura & Antle is issuing a voluntary packaged single head romaine lettuce with 10/15 or 10/16 pack dates due to possible E. Coli contamination. The contaminated bags are labeled with a packed on date of 10/15/2020 or 10/16/2020 and with the UPC number 0-27918-20314-9. No other products or pack dates are being recalled. A total of 3,396 cartons of potentially affected product were distributed in the United States to the following states: Alaska, Oregon, California, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, Wisconsin, New Mexico, South Carolina, Washington, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, and Illinois. The potentially affected product was shipped in cases packed in either 12, 15, 18 or 24 heads per case. It's unlikely that any of these products remain on store shelves due to the shelf life of lettuce and the number of days that have passed. However, if you do have this in your fridge, you should throw away the product immediately. You can find more information on the recall here!
